Mayor J. Daniel Lopez was born and raised in Payette. He served as a Corpsman in the US Navy for 6 years earning two Navy & Marine Corp Achievement Medals for his exemplary work. Daniel and Jessica live and breathe the entrepreneurial spirit in multiple industries in the Treasure Valley with a variety serving the Payette Community. Investing in Payette is their top priority, sustaining established businesses and bringing new businesses to the community is their passion.
Prior to his appointment as Mayor, he served one term on the city council and was reelected in 2023. During his tenure as a city councilor, he consistently supported fiscal responsibility and foresight. Daniel has served on the board of the chamber of commerce and served on multiple committees planning future growth and current needs of the area. Attainable and Sustainable growth is his highest priority, without smart growth municipalities and citizens bear all the burden of government operations.
Daniel plans to bring Payette into the future with less shortfalls and more complete infrastructure, focusing on safety and fiscal responsibility. If we don’t plan for what Payette is going to look like in 20 years no one will.
